Fishing

Clearwater is the premier Bass Lake of Central Minnesota and host to several catch and release Bass tournaments throughout the Summer. Panfish abound. Maple Hill Resort is located on a isthmus which makes for great shore fishing which is an easy activity that both kids and adults can enjoy! Boats, Pontoons, and more can be rented at BJ's Bait and Tackle for great prices!

Skiing

Powder Ridge Ski Area

Located seven miles West of Maple Hill Resort offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, and a brand new snow tube hill.

Lake Maria State Park

Located seven miles East of Maple Hill Resort offers 14 miles of groomed cross-country trails and ice skating. Warming houses are available.

Dining

Maple Hill Resort is located near a number of great eating establishments. Whether you are looking for a quick bite to take with you for a day on the Lake, or somewhere to sit down and have a great meal before it is time to turn in, there is something for everyone.

Waterfront Lakeside Grille

Located on the West side of Clearwater Lake, Waterfront Lakeside Grille overlooks the lake with floor to ceiling glass. Specialties are Walleye and ribs, but they offer a wide variety of entrees.

Hitching Post at Lake Center

Just South of the Resort, Hitching Post offers a variety of hamburgers and sandwiches, on and off sale beer and liquor, and a great multiple-screen venue for sports events.

Nelson Brothers Restaurant

Located in Clearwater, it is hard to believe this is a truck stop. Huge portions of everything and extremely well prepared
(especially breakfast) no one leaves here hungry! They also have a great onsite bakery and deli.

Annandale and Clearwater also host several small, family­oriented restaurants which are great for a good meal.

Pioneer

Park

Step back in time to the daily life of a pioneer settler at Minnesota Pioneer park in Annandale, MN. A non-profit Pioneer Heritage Village preserving our Old West history. Minnesota Pioneer Park begain in 1972 as an educational museum to display the history of the areas early pioneers. For 40 years, countless members, volunteers, patrons, and visitors have been involved in their mission to encourage an appreciation of the pioneer heritage of Central Minnesota through education and displays of artifacts with an emphasis on the late 1800's and early 1900's.
